However well-intentioned the current SOPA bill may be, it opens the door for potential overreach. The amount of bad implications outweigh any good it can create. It will not even stop online piracy because you can still type in the ip adress of a blocked site in the url bar and be able to reach it. It simply would not work because there are so many ways to acess "rogue sites" if this were to take effect.
