Folk Show

  • Sunday 10am-12pm
Genre:
Folk

The Folk Show is a unique take on the world of folk music, from autoharps to zydeco music and everything in between, this show explores the roots and branches, the hardcore traditional to cutting edge roots music. Expect a different focus every week with in studio performances and new releases a regular feature. You'll hear bluegrass, blues, cajun, old timey, gospel, singer-songwriters, and much more.

Folk Music, a definition? "Is it folk music?" Folks have been arguing about what is and is not folk music for generations and they'll continue to argue about it for generations. In broadest terms folk music is music with some connection to tradition. Beyond that there will never be an accepted definition of just what folk music is. But you can find the best of it on WUNH.
