- Tuesday 6-8pm
Classical Connections, hosted by creator Larry Etscovitz since 1982, surveys the basic repertoire of classical music from the Middle Ages through to the present day. All shows are chronological, beginning with early classical music, such as the Renaissance or Baroque, travelling through the "Classical" period (Haydn, Mozart, etc) for which the whole genre gets its name, through the Romantic era of the 19th century, and culminating in the contemporary works of the 20th century. Any listener following an entire program will always gain an evolutionary perspective from the varied forms of compositions that are presented. Expect a survey of all the major forms of Classical music, from symphony to quartet, to solo instrumental, to vocal.
